Childbirth Education
Classes acknowledge the fact that women's bodies know how to give birth, therefore there is no "method" of birthing taught. Classes provide comprehensive information that educates and empowers women to have the confidence and tools to make informed decisions. Learn about the physiological and important psychological changes during pregnancy, labor and birth and ways to cope and be supported. Classes are women centered  rather than institution centered and assist women to take an active consumer oriented stand toward maternity care.
   Classes seek above all else to empower women and their partners to retain personal responsibilty for their birth experience, and to embrace the momentous events of labor and birth without fear and with full understanding.
                                     Trained through ALACE 
                 6 week course presented in 2 hour sessions.  Group or private   
Instructor is a registered nurse,  childbirth educator, certified doula, professional midwife's assistant, licensed massage therapist certified in pregnancy massage, Certfied Lactation Counselor and certified instructor of infant massage.  Also offering newborn, breastfeeding and postpartum classes.
