A new class begins every month, on either a Monday or Tuesday night. We begin at 7pm and end at 9pm. Please visit my web page for the current schedule ( use link above, www.venturabirthclass.com)
The fee for the group class is $125.00. A $25. deposit reserves your space in class. The additional $100 can be paid in full on the first night, or you can pay $50 on the first night and $50 at the fifth class. I also offer Video Childbirth Classes, which consist of the same presentation I make to my group, except it is on videotape, so you simply pick up the tape and all the handouts that come with each class and watch the tape at home. This works well for anyone unable to attend typical weeknight classes, or as a refresher course, as you can sign up for all eight classes or just a few, depending on your need. Video classes are $10 per class or $80 for the entire series. As a refresher course many take 5 or 6 classes at $50 or $60.
My third program is Birth Class In A Bag, which consists of all the handouts I give out in my entire 8-week series, plus numerous pregnancy, childbirth and parenting magazines, samples, and coupons. It is quite a big collection of goodies! The fee for Birth Class In A Bag is $25 if you pick it up or $30 if I ship it to you.
Crash Course - a limited program (call to check on availability) is the Crash Course. This program consists of a commercially produced childbirth education video plus a number of childbirth education magazines. You purchase this program and keep everything. If you have only a few weeks left or just can't make it to classes this is best for you.
I began teaching in 1987 after certifying with the AAHCC (Bradley), but I have not been associated with that organization for a long time. I am a big fan of Penny Simkin. My classes stress beginning with the natural things, like walking, showering, and position changes plus many other comfort measures. If you do not get the results you need from the natural tools, then the more medical tools are appropriate. I teach the risk/benefit ratio and making informed choices.

Lilly's class was wonderful, I can't tell you how many times I have refered to her class when talking with others about our birth experience. Without her class, my husband and I would have been much more scared and un prepared for what was about to happen, Lilly has a way wih stories and is a great communicator.

Lilly's class was so great I had to do it again with my second child. I felt so prepared for a totally new and scary experience. The class is highly informative, to give you the best chance at the best, natural birth you can have. Relaxation is the key! Thanks Lilly!

Wow.
Listen to this women! she knows what she is talking about. Particularly listen when she talks about being rested BEFORE you go into labor. It is truly exhausting!
The classes were great, and Lilly really cares about what you have to say and your concerns.
Though she is self admitedly an advocate for un-medicated births, we did not feel shunned or made to feel shame for wanting an epidural. Very supportive.
