Dear Expectant Parents,
Welcome to Empowered Birthing Services. I am pleased to be able to work with you and share with you this exciting time in your life! Becoming a parent either for the first time or for a subsequent time is always exciting and rewarding. There is nothing quite as demanding and as satisfactory as becoming a family. At Empowered Birthing, I believe that birth is a normal and natural process of life. I feel that birth is a sacred and spiritual event in a family’s life and I enjoy helping families to uncover their beliefs and fears about birth to help them enjoy their birth experiences on more than just a physical level. Empowered Birthing believes that birth is an important stepping-stone in the life of a family that has the potential to be one of life’s most exhilarating experiences. My goal is to help families come together as a whole spiritually, emotionally, and physically during childbirth, breast-feeding, and new life. I want to help build stronger family bonds and help women feel empowered, with more faith and trust in birth and in their bodies.

Services: I offer many different services to meet the needs of as many families as possible. I offer innovative and experiential group childbirth classes and birth doula/labor support services. Discounts are available for more than one service and referrals. Payment plans are available. Private sessions available upon request. Please call or email for the class schedule!

A little about me: I am a mother to six children. I am a volunteer with International Cesarean Awareness Network {www.ican-online.org }. I am a childbirth educator and labor support companion {or “doula”}. I received my training from both BirthWorks {www.birthworks.org } and Doulas of North America {www.dona.org }. I have experienced two cesarean sections, 3 natural hospital VBACs, and a homebirth {not necessarily in that order}. I am passionate about birth related issues, and natural health and healing. I am currently studying to become a midwife and I volunteer as a birth assistant to a local homebirth midwife. I can be reached at 360-878-8579 or empoweredbirthing@comcast.net .
