I use a blended philosophy of family-centered care (mother-friendly and baby-friendly); the midwifery model (full scope - from fertility/family planning, mammograms, and pap tests, to comprehensive prenatal care); and elements from Ina May Gaskin, the Bradley Method, ICEA, and Lamaze. I accept Medicaid and will assist billing other insurance programs as well.

My career as a midwife has spanned over 400 deliveries - with more than 80 of these births occurring outside the hospital. I have a collaborative agreement with a board-certified OB-GYN physician, should the need arise for medical care or hospitalization. We also conduct periodic reviews of my charts and guidelines.

I earned my MSN in 1998 at Case Western Reserve University, and I plan to complete my doctorate in nursing by 2005. I have been certified by ACNM since 1998. I maintain active memberships in both the national and local chapters of ACNM, MANA, and DONA. Certified in NRP and CPR, I also hold current WV licenses as a nurse and midwife.
