Kate Fawley, CPM

Kate began the study of midwifery in 1998 after the birth of her first son. It was this experience that drove her desire to make birth better for other women. Kate’s second son was born at home in a warm, loving environment. She attended a 3-year Midwifery School in Media, PA followed by a 2-year apprenticeship. This training was predominantly homebirth based. Kate’s extensive knowledge in alternative modalities include; water birth, use of homeopathy, herbs and acupressure.

Jane began her career in pregnancy and childbirth by becoming a certified Bradley childbirth educator and labor doula after the hospital birth of her first child in 1998.  However, it was the birth of her second child at home that truly began her journey into midwifery. Jane completed her midwifery classes in the homebirth midwifery program at The Art of Midwifery School in Media, PA. Jane received her CPM credential in February 2008.

Together Kate and Jane provide holistic based prenatal and birth care from a truly woman centered perspective. Kate opened the first Rising Moon office in Chester Springs, PA in 2003. In 2004 Kate welcomed Jane into the practice, and adding a new center city office.
