I opened North Houston Birth Center in order to better serve the families I’ve known in the near North Houston community for 6 years while employed at a local hospital and delivering babies there.  I am a Certified Nurse Midwife with 10 years experience in hospital birth, and now 4 years in my Birth Center.  Previously, I was a Labor & Delivery nurse for 20 years.  I became a midwife because I wanted to be a provider to be able to support normal birth for every woman.  I am also a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator.

Every woman deserves a Doula, so I employ several well trained doulas to attend every woman and her family during birth, and to offer support in the hours afterward.

We also provide all well woman services, including annual exams & Pap smears, STD checks and treatment, and menopausal evaluation and treatment.

Our facility is conveniently located on I-45 North of the 610 loop and is furnished to offer comfort and relaxation to Mom and her support people.  We accept many insurances and Medicaid.
