I became a homebirth midwife to provide women the opportunity to birth naturally, their way. Birth is beautiful and empowering. I believe that children are a gift from God. 

When you are bringing a new baby into the world you realize that the decisions you make about how your baby is born can greatly impact your lives. I believe that birth is more than a hospital with you in a backless robe, hooked up to IV’s and not able to move around or drink and eat.  You should be able to choose your labor and birth positions.  Eat and drink as you please. No one is watching a time clock.  You can choose your labor and birthing positions

I believe that birthing at home is a place where a laboring woman's body should be honored and waited on by compassionate midwives. I believe that birth should be a joyful and empowering experience for women and their families. Birthing at home you in your own surroundings can be very supportive and promote an easier birth.  At home you are never separated from your baby. When it’s all said and done, you crawl into your freshly made bed and cuddle with your newborn.

I am a Christian Midwife. I am married and have 6 children. I have attended births since I was 20 yrs old. When I was thirty a friend asked me to be her coach when her son was born. It was the first time I had ever seen a baby born out of the hospital. I knew then and there the Lord gave me a calling. I attended and graduated from Birthingway Midwifery School in Portland, Oregon. Later Birthingway became an accredited college and I enrolled again to earn my Bachelors Degree in Midwifery. I am an avid believer of herbal remedies, homeopathics and Chinese medicine.  I have a real love for water births. I have participated in over 150 births. In my spare time I love to garden and quilt.
