My name is Sharon Heskitt. I am a mother of two boys, a registered nurse with a Master's Degree in Community Health, certified (since 1999) by the International Institute of Reflexology in Reflexology and I am a practicing traditional midwife. I apprenticed with MI area midwives from 1992 to 2002 and have been working with a senior midwife with home birth and hospital birth clients since May of 2002. My previous hospital experience was from 1983 to 1994 in high and low risk labor and delivery. I will travel within an hour of my home to provide maternity services. I facilitate childbirth discussions centered on the principles in "Birthing From Within" by Pam England and Rob Horowitz and also "Obstetric Myths Versus Research Realities" and "The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth" by Henci Goer.
