I have been practicing Maternal Child health since 1984. Diverse clinical experience in Pediatrics, OB/GYN and Family Planning and primary care Until 1996, I practiced as a Certified Physician Assistant providing care to women and children through out community hospitals and health centers of New York City. I am a 1997 Masters Graduate of SUNY Downstate Midwifery Program. Since 1999, I have served as the Director of the Midwifery Service at Morris Heights Women’s Health & Birthing Pavilion formerly known as the Childbearing Center. I am the proud mother of a wonderful teenager who was birthed by Midwives of the then Maternity Center of New York, 1986.

I am an independent Midwife presently serving New York city & New Jersey communities I am committed to impacting the incredibly high infant & maternal mortality rates particularly in lower socieconomic areas of these cities.

Birth is a normal natural process. A Time of celebration. The philosophy of Birthing Wise Homebirth Service honors this and recognizes that every women has a right to a safe, dignified, enriched, and satisfying experience. Birthing Wise embraces the sacred journey of pregnancy, labor, and birth from this wholesome perspective.

As your Homebirth Midwife, I am committed to providing comprehensive wholesome care that is compassionate and sensitive to the individual needs of each client. The Birth journey is an expected yet commemorative experience. Therefore, emphasis is placed on an outcome that is safe but also gratifying for the family's spiritual and physical needs.
As your midwife, I offer and expect a trusting and respectful relationship. The right of the woman and her family to participate in decisions regarding maternity care is honored as well.
I support the growth of every woman and couple into parents through offering educational, emotional, mental and physical support.
