Clear Light Holistic Midwifery is a partnership of two homebirth midwives. Elektra Nancy Duncan, CNM has 30 years midwifery experience and has assisted over 1000 women in childbirth. Andrea Mietkiewicz apprencticed with Elektra in the early 90's and has been working as a primary midwife since 1994, assisting over 150 women in childbirth. Our service area is within a 2-hr. radius of Bangor, ME. Our midwifery services are insurance reimburseable.
Andrea Mietkiewicz is an RN, CPM graduating from Northeastern University College of Nursing in 1976. After 20 years of specializing in Emergency Nursing, her daughter's homebirth in 1990 changed everything. She became the midwifery apprentice of Elektra Nancy Duncan, graduated from Ancient Art Midwifery Institute in 1994, and became a registered midwife in 1995. She attended the New England School of Homeopathy from 1994 - 1998. She has been assisting women to give birth at home for 14 years. She prefers the use of homeopathy, herbs, massage, accupressure, and essential oils in her practice.
