Our
midwifery practice is based on the belief that women are well designed to give
birth and that our role is to support that process. We see ourselves as guides
and as guardians. Midwives are experts in normal birth and preventative health
care and are able to recognize the early signs of imbalance that may lead to
complications if not treated. Midwifery care is a partnership between the woman
and her midwives - we will share information, resources and our opinions, but
care decisions are always in the hands of the mother.
