Having nursed 4 babies myself, as well as counselled/cheered numerous others onto successful breastfeeding, I would be honored to help you establish a loving, nourishing relationship with your baby. Difficult nurser? Complicated delivery or postpartum? I have been there and I'll do everything I can to help you get to the other side of the "bump in the road" and onto a fulfilling breastfeeding experiece for you and your new baby.

Please call or email with questions. I can give advice over the phone, through email, or come to your home if needed. Just let me know what you desire.

I do most of my lactation support free of charge. If you feel like you should pay something, then let's barter. :o) Breastfeeding babies are important to me. I struggled so much with my first two, with very little encouragement or help, that I want to be that person who helps you through so you can have a story of victory to tell! *grin*

My sister-in-law Abby has always inspired me to be better than I am. When she was pregnant with her little princess Sally, she chose to have a home-birth with a midwife who was also a close friend. I always thought I was natural-minded, but this seemed extreme to me, especially afterward when I saw the pictures!

Then I got pregnant with my own little princess and realized quickly while reading about the safety and terrific outcomes of home births, that this was the path for me as well. I'd had 2 births in the hospital previously, both with a little pain meds at the end which, I don't think made any difference because both times they were given within 10 minutes of me giving birth. lol So, I was prepared for a drug-free birth, and preferred it. I also was confident with my ability to labor and deliver on my own, as with neither of my other children were born with a doctor present. I just did it on my own before they could get there. :o) I always say you don't need anything but your breath to give birth.

After birthing my little girl at home, I became convinced of the beauty of completely natural birth in a loving, quiet, peaceful home environment.

I also know that many women cannot afford a home birth, or must birth in a hospital for health reasons, or choose to because they just don't feel comfortable with the thought of being at hom. Those are all valid reasons, and I respect women's decisions.

My job is to support. Educate, Empower, and Pamper. That's what I am there for. :o) tee hee

My hope is that I will be able to help protect and preserve the beautiful experience of birth for every mother I serve, no matter what the location.
