Pregnancy, Labor, Birth, Breastfeeding and parenting...these are all magical moments in a woman's life. Preparation is very important to stay healthy and to be informed about your birthing options. I have been fortunate to work with women during pregnancy and birth for more than 7 years. I teach Bradley Method childbirth classes as a way of informing mothers about important things in pregnancy such as: nutrition, exercise, birthing options, physical, mental and emotional relaxation, avoiding unnecessary pain in labor, how to be wise consumers of obstretrical services, benefits of using a midwife, hospital procedures and how to avoid unnecessary intervention, homebirth options, breastfeeding, parenting...and much more that simply cannot be put on paper (or the net). Communication is so important in obtaining a supportive birthing environment.

Hi, My name is Annette Culp.  I have been teaching classes and attending births for over 8 years.
I am married and have 4 children. The first was born by cesarean and the other three were VBAC's.  Life is one big "learning lesson" and my children have been my best teachers. A saying I have heard, "If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life", rings true for me. The childbearing year has been a part of my life in one way or another since my childhood. My grandmother use to tell me stories about the births she attended back in the 1920's and 30's. I will treasure those stories forever. What better way could I remain young at heart than to continue on the path that interested me as a child.
