I provide evidence-based information and accompany women in the prenatal, labor, and postpartum periods to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. Each family has different needs and desires, and you (the mother) determine my role.

Labor doula -

I help a mother find her way on her journey through the labyrinth garden with reassurance and trust in her ability to birth and care for her baby. Women have amazing inner strength, though sometimes they have fears and uncertainty about how they will manage. To complement a mother's innate ability, I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to her and her partner for an empowered experience. I feel honored to be part of the birth, as it is a life-changing and intimate event. If you have special circumstances that make paying a hardship, we can discuss other options; You deserve a doula. Will attend at home, in birth center, or in hospital.

My husband and I have 3 wonderful children, each birthed in various settings; two in the hospital attended by OBs, and one at home, in water, attended by a midwife. I have lived in South Florida for 12 years.

The mother's birth partner, or the father, is an integral part of the circle who can give valuable support. If she has one, the partner is encouraged to participate as much as he or she is comfortable doing, and I am happy to offer ideas and examples for him or her. Dads and partners benefit from doulas too! If she does not have a partner, I am happy to be the primary supporter.

I am an independent doula. As your doula, I work for you - not your caregiver or the hospital. I believe that you are in charge of your own birth and that I am the invited guest. I am there to serve you to help you have the type of birth you have envisioned for yourself.
