I have had the priviledge of serving women along the gulf coast (MS/AL/FL/) since 1987 as a Childbirth Educator, Doula, Monitrice, and a Traditional Midwife since 1995. I provide prenatal care and education; labor & birth assistance; postpartum care & counseling; and breastfeeding support. I attend births at my client's homes as their midwife.  I have attended waterbirths for 11 years.

I believe that good nutrition is key to staying low risk in pregnancy.  

I am also an EFT practitioner.

A woman’s body is designed to give birth.  Pregnancy and birth are normal processes, not medical events. Birth is a key event in a woman’s life, and  midwifery care can reasonably provide for issues of safety without compromising the very human and even spiritual aspects of birth.

My practice is firmly based on informed choice. I believe that women and families have the right to determine their own care in pregnancy and birth. I spend a great deal of time with the women in my care to ensure that there is ample opportunity for gathering information and making informed decisions, and also to allow for the blossoming of confidence, relationship, and trust.
