I will provide your prenatal care, attend you at your birth, and also provide postpartum care through at least the sixth week after your baby is born. I've attended primarily homebirths in Colorado and Ohio, but also some hospital births and many births at a birth center in West Africa. I consider it my job to provide prenatal care that helps to ensure a safe, healthy birth for both mother and baby, birth care that is gentle and wise so that you complete the journey safely, and postpartum care that carries you successfully into motherhood with a healthy baby. This is your pregnancy and your birth, though, and it is not my job to tell you how to birth.
