I am a Childbirth Educator certified by A.L.A.C.E.
( The Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators). I have been teaching their curriculum since 1992.
The ALALCE program has long been recognized for it's holistic approach to childbirth education.
As an ALACE childbirth educator I am trained to help increase parents' confidence in the natural process of birth. I teach relaxation and coping tools to work with pain and discomfort, rather than "techniques" for avoiding sensation.
I respect birth as a sacred passage, an intimate act, a creative expression of love. I believe that it is possible to help strengthen the family through improving the experience of birth.
ALACE childbirth educators respect birth as a woman-centered and woman-directed passage, not an institution-centered medical event. The goal we have is to help women reclaim trust in their bodies' ability to safely and dependably give birth.
I respect obstetric procedures as beneficial in some circumstances but potentially detrimental when applied routinely. My classes emphasize informed consent and prevention of unnecessary caesareans and other unnecessary interventions. I strongly encourage vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).

Dina's support and guidance during the pregnancy, labor and delivery of my first child was priceless. Her presence during my labor made me feel completely supported and safe. She helped to facilitate a relaxed and completely positive birthing experience. Plus, she was there to follow up and guide me through the first crazy days of motherhood. I will be forever grateful!

Hi. I am a masage therapist in South Bound Brook, trying to find information about DEM. You are the first connection to DEM in NJ that I could find, due to the lack of licensure in our state.
