Established in 1977 we are one of the oldest licensed free-standing birth centers in the state of Florida. Our birthing cottage is conveniently located in a country-like setting serving all of the Tampa Bay Area. The nearest emergency facility with maternity care is only located 2.5 miles from our facility. We offer private birthing rooms for you and your family in a tranquil home-like setting. Our midwives specialize in waterbirth and have available for your convenience portable birthing spas here in the center or delivered and setup at your home. We accept self-pay clients, most insurance carriers and Florida Medicaid for births at home or in our facility.

Shirley "Gina" Tregillus, LM is our lead midwife with over 34 years of experience and is owner/establisher of the birth center. After delivering the youngest of her own 7 children at home she has gone on to deliver all 7 of her grandchildren in the birth center. She has delivered more than 4000 babies in this area and is now delivering the 2nd generation! Gina is a preceptor at 2 area midwifery schools and has trained numerous midwives now practicing in the area and elsewhere.
