Your Atlanta Doula

It is critical that you feel a deep connection with your doula or parenting coach, as this person may become an extended member of your growing family.  Remember that the service of a doula is to support and guide through providing information and advocacy.

  • Birth Doula

Leigh’s support for the birthing family includes both natural and coached breathing, massage/efflourage, visualization, aromatherapy, emotional support and encouragement, and so much more.  Leigh's primary goal is that your babies birth be the result of informed and well educated choices made specifically by you.

  • Postpartum Doula

Leigh will journey alongside you as your baby grows and develops into a toddler.  She will assist you with breastfeeding, attachment parenting, kangaroo care, postpartum mental health awareness, infant feeding and hygiene, marital/partner relationships after birth, and infant massage.
  • Birth Photography

  • Day or night, home or hospital, 365 days a year - when labor begins, I'll be there to capture every precious moment, gracefully, tastefully, and quietly.
  • Childbirth Education

Childbirth education helps expecting parents to alleviate anxiety and fear of the unknown through education about birth, the birthing process, and the policies of the location in which they choose to birth.  Childbirth education is recommended for expecting parents around the 22nd-30th week of pregnancy, and can be taught via group, semi-private or private courses.
  • Baby Massage - Group or Private

Baby massage is a way to relieve stress for you AND your baby.  Baby massage increases your confidence and sensitivity to your baby's cues, stimulates growth and healthy development of your baby's body, mind and spirit, and enhances your ability to understand your baby's special needs.  Through this course, you will learn techniques to help your baby release stress which builds daily from new experiences and that means more rest for baby and you; everyone feels better!  Classes are held privately or in small groups, and meet once per week for a series of four weeks.

  • Baby Massage - Premature Infants

Preemies who received gentle strokes and limb manipulations gained 50 percent more weight than infants who did not receive therapeutic touch, according to a study by Tiffany Field, M.D., and went home an average of six days earlier than those who had not received infant massage.  During a time when your baby needs loving and gentle touch the most, you may feel afraid and uneasy.  Leigh will be there to support and guide you, listening to your fears and encouraging you to bond with your newborn, even during the toughest moments.
